Babydoll Southdown Rams For Sale | Friendly Proven Breeding Pair

Babydoll Southdown Rams for Sale

Looking for Babydoll sheep for sale or a friendly pair of Babydoll Southdown rams to add to your flock? We are offering our two proven rams, Ross and Chandler, to a new home as we downsize our flock.

At four years old, Ross and Chandler are healthy, experienced, and exceptionally gentle. They have grown up together and are best friends, so we would love to see them stay together if possible. They are easily our family’s two favorite sheep and have been wonderful ambassadors for the Babydoll breed.

Meet Ross & Chandler

From left, Chandler, Brittany, and Ross

Ross and Chandler are incredibly friendly and enjoy spending time with people. They come running when they see us, happily accept ear scratches, and genuinely seek out human attention. Their calm temperaments make them a pleasure to work with and a great fit for hobby farms, homesteads, and families looking for livestock with personality.

Proven Babydoll Southdown Sires

Although Ross and Chandler are not registered, they have both proven themselves as excellent breeding rams.

When we purchased them as lambs from a farm in Kennewick, Washington, we believed they had been wethered. It wasn’t until they reached maturity that we discovered they had retained their reproductive capabilities due to incomplete castration. Two breeding seasons later, they have sired multiple healthy, vigorous lambs that have grown into strong, thriving sheep with excellent dispositions.

If producing registered offspring is not a priority, these boys offer an outstanding opportunity to add quality genetics and exceptional temperaments to your flock at an affordable price.

Ideal For

Ross and Chandler would be an excellent choice for:

  • Starting a Babydoll Southdown flock
  • Expanding an existing flock with proven breeding rams
  • Farms that already keep wethers and want to begin breeding
  • Homesteads looking for friendly, easy-to-handle livestock
  • Breeding programs where registration is not essential

Because they have lived together their entire lives, we believe they would be happiest remaining as a pair.

Why Raise Babydoll Southdown Sheep?

Babydoll Southdown sheep are one of the most sought-after heritage sheep breeds thanks to their compact size, gentle personalities, and practical value. They make wonderful pasture managers by naturally controlling grass and weeds while producing nutrient-rich manure that benefits compost piles, gardens, orchards, and the overall farm ecosystem. Their friendly nature also makes them favorites for families, hobby farms, and anyone looking for livestock that’s enjoyable to work with.

Pricing

  • $300 each
  • $500 for the pair

We are genuinely sad to see Ross and Chandler go, but as we downsize our flock, we hope they’ll find a farm where they can continue doing what they do best—bringing personality, quality genetics, and plenty of smiles to their new owners.

Interested? Contact us to schedule a farm visit and meet Ross and Chandler in person. We’d love to introduce you to these special boys and help you decide if they’re the right fit for your flock.
